The way to a man's heart is through his stomach
The Greeks' hedonistic approach to life (seeking pleasure in everything), certainly made them happy people. To this day they are considered carefree with a light-hearted approach to the surrounding reality.
Nothing could be further from the truth - for it is a great art to know how to enjoy and give oneself happiness. Greeks look for positive aspects of life everywhere and great pleasure is given to them by food and excellent Greek cuisine and the ubiquitous liquor.
For thousands of years they have tried to use the simplest techniques of preparing dishes using what mother nature gave. Simplicity - is the door that opens the doors of good taste and chance - has become the godfather of culinary success.
Greek Habits
It is very important to have time to eat a meal and to spend a nice time with friends. Slot unites people and this is very important for Greeks. Meals are celebrated and should not take place without the participation of wine, which not only affects the taste of some dishes, but also, as the Hellenes used to say, heals our "psyche" (soul) - that is, improves our well-being. According to tradition, it should be drunk until the tongue starts to twitch - then we lose the taste and thus the sense of drinking wine.
Today we know that the culinary tradition of Greece dates back more than 4,000 years and has certainly not changed much. Despite the appearance of numerous influences such as the Pharnician (making it more exquisite) and Turkish (introducing their innovations), no one has been able to supplant the Greek excellent simplicity and taste.
